How it Works
The NightWave helps you fall asleep by guiding you in a deep breathing relaxation process while you lie in bed. Deep breathing reduces the levels of the stress hormone cortisol in the blood which makes way for the secretion of melatonin, a hormone that helps regulate your sleep and wake cycles and maintain your body's natural circadian rhythm.
The NightWave projects a soft blue light onto the ceiling of your darkened bedroom. The "luminance" of the light slowly rises and falls. Lie with eyes open and synchronize your breathing with the blue wave as its movement becomes slower and slower. After the breathing cycle is completed (7 or 25 minutes), the NightWave shuts off and in a relaxed state you are able to fall asleep.
